Itinerary

  1. Check in 45 minutes before your tour time and get geared up at the Umauma visitors center
  2. Run lines 1–4, the exciting long dual lines
  3. Pause at line #2 for scenic views of a 100-foot waterfall and Mauna Kea, and visit a shelter overlooking the river confluence
  4. Zip line #4, roughly 2,000 feet over the river and its waterfalls
  5. Cross the 200-foot suspension bridge over a lava tube and fern grotto to reach line #5
  6. Complete lines 5–7, ending with a close-up view of the dual-waterfall drop of Umauma Falls from a guests-only shelter
  7. Finish on line #9, which zips you back to the visitors center where you started

Things to Know

Check in 45 minutes before your scheduled tour time. No ziplining experience is necessary. Wear closed-toe footwear such as sneakers or hiking boots — tie back long hair, secure glasses with a strap, and remove any sharp objects from your pockets before heading out. This is a moderate-to-advanced physical activity: guests should be able to climb 3 flights of stairs and walk short distances between platforms.

Tours run rain or shine, and rain-wear is provided if the weather turns wet. In case of thunder, lightning, or strong winds, tours may be canceled for guest safety. Pregnant guests, those with serious medical conditions, and guests with prior back or neck injuries are not permitted to participate. 48-hour cancellation policy — bookings canceled less than 48 hours before the scheduled tour time will be charged in full.
